Meet our Governors!
Welcome to our school website! As the Chair of Governors, I am delighted to share a few thoughts on the values and ethos that guide our community here at Moseley Church of England Primary School.
At the heart of our school is a commitment to the Church of England’s values, which emphasize love, respect, and compassion. We strive to create an environment where every child feels valued and supported, reflecting our belief in the importance of nurturing not just academic excellence, but also moral and spiritual growth. Our ethos encourages inclusivity, kindness, and a sense of belonging, ensuring that each child can thrive both in and out of the classroom.
Moseley is a vibrant and diverse community that enriches our school experience. Known for its strong sense of community and cultural heritage, Moseley offers our children unique opportunities to engage with the world around them. We embrace this spirit by fostering partnerships with local organisations and encouraging our children to take an active role in community life.
As we work together to inspire and educate our pupils, I am confident that the special qualities of our school, combined with the values we uphold, will help shape the leaders of tomorrow.
Thank you for being part of our journey.
Warm regards,
Sarah Wisdom

Mr Stephen Alabaster Vice-Chair of Governors |
I have lived in and around Moseley for most of my life and worshipped at St Anne’s Church for over 65 years. Educated at King Edward’s School, I went on to Manchester University where I studied French and then trained as a teacher. In 1975 I returned to Birmingham to join my family’s manufacturing jewellery business, which we finally closed, after 130 years, on my retirement in 2018.
My two children (now in their 40s) were pupils at Moseley C of E and I myself have happy memories of a short teaching experience in 1973 at this wonderful school, where I have had the privilege to be a Governor since 2019.
I have a wide range of interests, particularly in the arts and sport and, though I have moved out into Worcestershire, I maintain close links with both Moseley and the city as a whole.

Mrs Amanda Perry Staff-elected Governor |
Hi,
My name is Amanda Perry and I am the Deputy Head at Moseley CE Primary.
I feel very lucky to work at Moseley CE; I am especially lucky because, being non class based allows me to work with every class and get to know all the children in the school really well. I love going into each class and seeing what they are doing and helping the children with their learning. I don't have a typical day - I can be reading or doing phonics with KS1, Maths with Y6 or French with Y3.
I have taught at Moseley for quite a few years and I am really enjoying being the Deputy Head, working with Miss Young to move the school forwards and help the children progress in all areas of the curriculum and life.

I am the Vicar of St Agnes, Moseley. My two daughters were both pupils here.
St Agnes has had a connection with the school dating back to 1878 and I value its Church of England ethos.
