Our Church School
From 1828 to today β a school at the heart of its community.
Our school has been at the heart of the Moseley community for nearly 200 years.
Founded in 1828 as the Moseley Church of England National School, it grew from the work of the local Sunday School, created to serve the children of the parish.
From the very beginning, the school was established with a clear purpose:
To provide education for local children
To serve the Parish of Moseley
To offer teaching rooted in the Christian faith and values
In the early 20th century, land was formally entrusted to the school with the expectation that it would:
Remain a school for the local community
Continue to provide education shaped by the teachings of the Church of England
π A Living Vision Today
Today, that same foundation continues through our vision:
βYou are the light of the worldβ¦ let your light shineβ (Matthew 5:14β16)
We remain a school rooted in our community, welcoming families of all backgrounds, and committed to ensuring that every child is:
Known and valued
Supported to flourish
Encouraged to make a difference in the world
π€ Serving Our Community Now
While our community has grown and changed, our purpose remains the same.
We continue to:
Serve the local community of Moseley and beyond
Reflect the rich diversity of our families
Provide an education shaped by Christian values of love, compassion and service
Our school is part of a unique local context, where faith and community remain closely connected, and where we work in partnership with local churches and families to support every child.
β¨ Looking to the Future
As we approach our 200-year anniversary, we are proud of our history and excited for the future.
We remain committed to our founding purpose:
