Early Help Offer at Moseley Church of England Primary School

At Moseley Church of England Primary School, our vision is rooted in the words of Jesus:

“You are the light of the world… let your light shine” (Matthew 5:14–16)

We believe every child and family is valued, supported, and enabled to flourish. Our Early Help offer is one of the ways we live out this vision—by ensuring that no child’s light is dimmed by unmet need or challenge.

What is Early Help?

Early Help means providing support to children, young people and their families as soon as a need or concern emerges.

It can be needed at any stage—from early childhood through to adolescence—and applies to any situation where a family may need additional support.

Rooted in our Christian values of love, compassion, community and dignity, Early Help is for all children and families.

Our Approach

At Moseley, Early Help is about:

  • Listening carefully so every child and family feels heard

  • Working together in partnership with parents and professionals

  • Acting early to prevent concerns from becoming more serious

We aim to provide the right help, at the right time, from the right people, so that every child feels safe, confident and able to thrive.

Why Early Help Matters

Through Early Help, we aim to:

  • Support children to feel safe, secure and ready to learn

  • Build strong relationships with families

  • Prevent problems from escalating

  • Reduce the need for specialist intervention where possible

  • Enable every child to grow, flourish and shine as part of our school community
