At the beginning of the day the duty teacher will go to the lower playground at 8:45. (The two duty teachers will agree which one of them will take the before school and after school duty.) At 8.55 class teachers meet their class and escort them indoors in a calm, orderly manner. If a member of staff is delayed then the teacher on duty will send in their class.
Reception children enter school through their own cloakroom door
Year 1 and Year 2 enter school through the door on the left.
Year 3 and Year 5 enter school through the door on the right.
Year 4 and Year 6 enter school through the door on the right.
At the end of the day teachers will come out onto the infant playground with their classes and one duty teacher will supervise the lower playground until 3.45 p.m., encouraging children to stand with the adult collecting them and to leave the playground quickly. Pupils are not expected to use this as extra playtime. No ball games are allowed in the playground before or after school and pupils may not ride their bikes through the playground. These must be pushed until they are off the premises. At 3.45 p.m. the duty teacher will identify those children who have not yet been collected. These children should be brought back into school and should wait on the blue and yellow chairs near the entrance hall area until collected.
